Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei felicitated birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the sixth Imam of Infallible Household, Imam Jaˈfar Sadeq (AS) on Tuesday.
Referring to the wave of the Islamic awakening in the Muslim World, North Africa in particular, the Supreme Leader said that the world arrogance targeted the Islamic Awakening movement and aims to divide the Muslims pitting them against each other.
Therefore, the main duty of the elites in the Muslim world is to help expose the enemiesˈ plots and take serious efforts to materialize the motto of Islamic unity, the Leader said.
The Supreme Leader said Islamic Ummah should follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet and use his model in their social and political behavior.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the conditions in the Islamic world are ready for following the directions of The Holy Prophet due to the Islamic Awakening, adding that after decades of western pressures and oppression, Muslims now feel that Islam can bring dignity and independence for them and all desires of the Islamic Ummah can be satisfied by Islam.
The feeling
of being able to stand against the hegemonic powers among the Muslims
and forcing the west to retreat are blessings of the Islamic Awakening
which began in Iran 34 years ago and is spreading in the Muslim world
and all these are signs of materialization of divine promise and moving
toward victory.ˈ
The arrogance world has tried, from the beginning, to create hurdles, but if Muslims trust the God and are determined to move forward, the West would definitely be unable to prevent the Islamic world.ˈ
Ayatollah Khamenei said creating difference and making Muslims busy with each other are the main efforts by Muslimsˈ enemies to confront the Islamic Awakening, adding that this policy has been pursued since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution but Islamic Republic strongly stood against this plot and hoisted the flag of Islamic unity.
Late Imam Khomeini always said that he
believed in Islamic brotherhood and this policy has continued up to
now,ˈ said the Supreme Leader.
He stressed that the only way to
confront the conspiracy of creating difference is making unity among all
ethnic and religious groups of Muslims inside Islamic countries.
The
consequence of disunity among Muslims is marginalization of the cause
of Palestine, the ayatollah said, adding that the new move which has
been started by the West in North Africa to dominate African nations is
the outcome of differences among Muslims.
Referring to some
examples of the results of disunity among Muslims, Ayatollah Khamenei
cited atrocities in Pakistan, war and massacre in Syria, boycotting the
voice of people of Bahrain, and disputes in Egypt and added any move to
create disunity between nations or inside an Islamic country is
definitely playing in the field designed by enemy.
The Supreme
Leader of the Islamic Revolution urged all elites in the Muslim world to
take the issue seriously and said political and religious leaders of
Islamic countries should analyze dangerous plots of the enemies to
create disunity and should avoid provoking any superficial feelings
since adding fuel to the fire of differences will darken the destiny of
nations.
Ayatollah Khamenei called the motto of ˈIslamic Unityˈ
a holy motto and stressed that if the Prophet of Islam were among us
now, he would invite all Muslims to unity and avoiding differences.
